| | | Sec. 1. 8 MRSA §1031-A is enacted to read: |

| | | §1031-A.__Daily loss limit |
|
| | | A slot machine operator shall establish a daily loss limit of | | $300 per person per 24-hour period.__The operator shall install | | devices in slot machines and employ other monitoring methods to | | monitor each player's wagering on slot machines in order to | | comply with this section. |

| | | Sec. 2. 17 MRSA §341, sub-§5-A is enacted to read: |

| | | 5-A.__Daily loss limit.__A person authorized to operate slot | | machines or other mechanical devices used for playing games of | | chance under this chapter or Title 8, chapter 31 shall establish | | a daily loss limit of $300 per person per 24-hour period. |
|
| | | This bill establishes a daily loss limit of $300 per person | | per 24-hour period for slot machines and other mechanical devices | | used for playing games of chance operated in this State. |
