Sec. 1. Retirement system directive. Resolved: That the Executive Director
of the Maine State Retirement System shall contact the United
States Social Security Administration and shall indicate the
State's support of the federal Public Servant Retirement
Protection Act and shall work cooperatively with the
administration to secure the elimination of the so-called
government pension offset and the windfall elimination provision.

 
SUMMARY

 
This resolve requires the Executive Director of the Maine
State Retirement System to work cooperatively with the United
States Social Security Administration to provide support of the
federal Public Servant Retirement Protection Act.
