| | | Sec. 1. 36 MRSA §585 is enacted to read: |

| | | If an owner of 1,000 or more contiguous acres of land subject | | to the tax under this subchapter allows public access to that | | land, the tax owed under this subchapter is reduced by 25%. |

| | | This bill reduces the tax owed under the Maine Tree Growth Tax | | Law by 25% for a landowner of 1,000 or more contiguous acres who | | allows public access to that land. |
