| | | 3.__Staff development.__Foster and promote professional | | development for physical education teachers and other school | | personnel by planning and providing orientation, educational | | offerings and networking with universities and other providers of | | continuing education to meet identified needs; and |

| | | 4.__Standards.__Gather and analyze data relevant to the | | physical education, physical fitness and healthful physical | | activity programs and monitor standards to promote physical | | education excellence and optimal physical fitness of | | schoolchildren. |

| | | Sec. 4. 20-A MRSA §13803 is enacted to read: |
