Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
CONCEPT DRAFT
SUMMARY
This bill is a concept draft pursuant to Joint Rule 208.
Under current law, if a person receives disability benefits
while a Maine State employee, the receipt of those disability
benefits has an adverse effect on how that person's retirement
benefit will be calculated. This bill proposes to correct the
inequity in calculating such a person's Maine State Retirement
System benefits.
