Sec. 1. 32 MRSA §13702, sub-§17-A is enacted to read:

17-A.__Pharmaceutical detailer.__"Pharmaceutical detailer" means a person who acts in an educational role on behalf of a manufacturer or labeler regarding the pharmaceutical drugs, supplies or other products of that manufacturer or labeler.__ "Pharmaceutical detailer" does not include a lobbyist for a manufacturer or labeler registered pursuant to Title 3, section 313.

Sec. 2. 32 MRSA §13721, sub-§1, ¶G, as enacted by PL 1987, c. 710, §5, is amended to read:

G. The rules of the training, qualification and employment of pharmacy interns and pharmacy students; and

Sec. 3. 32 MRSA §13721, sub-§1, ¶H, as amended by PL 1997, c. 245, §7, is further amended to read:

H. The registration of pharmacy technicians and adoption of rules governing the training, qualification and employment of pharmacy technicians.; and

Sec. 4. 32 MRSA §13721, sub-§1, ¶I is enacted to read:

I.__The registration of pharmaceutical detailers and adoption of rules governing the registration, qualification and continuing education of pharmaceutical detailers.__Rules adopted pursuant to this section are routine technical rules as defined in Title 5, chapter 375, subchapter 2-A.

Sec. 5. 32 MRSA §13723, sub-§5, ¶H, as amended by PL 1997, c. 245, §9, is further amended to read:

H. The certification of an approved provider of continuing education courses, which fee may not exceed $100 per year, provided that a provider approved by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education is exempt from the fee established in this paragraph; and

Sec. 6. 32 MRSA §13723, sub-§5, ¶I, as enacted by PL 1997, c. 245, §10, is amended to read:

I. The issuance of a certificate of registration for a pharmacy technician, which fee may not exceed $25.; and

Sec. 7. 32 MRSA §13723, sub-§5, ¶J is enacted to read:
