| | | 3.__Corrections.__Contracting for corrections with Lincoln | | County, Sagadahoc County and other governmental agencies, | | including other counties; |

| | | 4.__Government.__Contracting with State Government, the | | Federal Government or any subdivision or agency of the State | | or the United States for services; |

| | | 5.__County employee services.__Contracting with Lincoln | | County or Sagadahoc County for the services of any officers or | | employees of either county; |
|
| | | 6.__Counties.__Contracting with Lincoln County and Sagadahoc | | County to reimburse organizational costs; |
|
| | | 7.__Real and personal property.__Purchasing, selling, | | leasing, acquiring, conveying, mortgaging, improving and using | | real and personal property in connection with the purposes of | | the jail authority; |

| | | 8.__Staff;__employment.__Employing and establishing salaries | | and qualifications for such professional, clerical and | | administrative staff personnel as may be necessary or | | convenient to the operation of the jail authority; and |

| | | 9.__Use of bidding processes.__Making contracts, issuing | | bonds, notes or other debt instruments under subchapter 4 and | | dealing generally with 3rd parties, including the power to use | | a negotiated or competitive bidding process or any other | | process that may be advantageous to the jail authority.__The | | determination of the process to be used is made by and at the | | discretion of the directors. |

| | | §1902.__Real and personal property; right of eminent domain |

| | | The jail authority formed under this chapter may acquire and | | hold real and personal property that the jail authority | | considers necessary for its purposes and is granted the right | | of eminent domain.__The jail authority may take and hold, | | either by exercising its right of eminent domain or by | | purchase, lease or otherwise, for public uses any land, real | | estate, easements or interest in land, real estate or | | easements necessary for construction and operating the | | multicounty jail. |
