| The power and authority of the jail authority formed under |
| this chapter and the administration and the general |
| supervision of all affairs of the authority are vested in the |
| directors.__The jail authority has the power, within the |
| counties, to provide for the planning, construction, |
| equipping, operation and maintenance of a common facility for |
| corrections; to generate revenues from those activities and |
| incur expenses from those activities, including reimbursement |
| to Lincoln County and Sagadahoc County for organizational |
| costs, and make contracts with persons, firms, corporations, |
| partnerships, limited partnerships and other entities, whether |
| private, public or municipal, as may be necessary or proper; |
| and, in general, to do any or all other things necessary or |
| incidental for the exercise of its powers or to the |
| accomplishment of the purposes of the jail authority. |
