Sec. 4. Report. Resolved: That, no later than December 15, 2003,
the Land and Water Resources Council shall submit a report
that includes its findings and recommendations, including
suggested legislation, for presentation to the Joint Standing
Committee on Marine Resources, and the Legislative Council.
The commission is authorized to submit legislation related to
its report for introduction to the Second Regular Session of
the 121st Legislature at the time of submission of its report.

 
SUMMARY

 
This resolve directs the Land and Water Resources Council to
undertake a study to develop and implement a marine bay
planning and management program in Maine. This program would
improve the planning and management of multiple uses of
estuarine and marine waters in Maine.
