| | | Sec. 1. 12 MRSA §1874, as enacted by PL 1997, c. 678, §13, is | | amended by adding after the first paragraph a new paragraph to | | read: |

| | | The person responsible for day-to-day management of the | | waterway must have received at the time of appointment, or | | must receive within 6 months of appointment to the position, | | 80 hours of training in the management of wilderness areas. |

| | | This bill provides that the manager of the Allagash | | Wilderness Waterway have or receive training in the management | | of wilderness areas. |
