Sec. 1. Inventory. Resolved:
That the Department of Economic and
Community Development shall take an inventory of the State's
enterprises, industries and business clusters to determine:
1. Where the State has business excellence competence;
2. Where the State has unique expertise or technologies;
and
3. Where the State has extraordinary competitive
advantages; and be it further
Sec. 2. Report. Resolved:
That the Department of Economic and
Community Development shall study and identify the industries
that meet the standards studied by the inventory in section 1
and explain in detail in a report for presentation to the
Second Regular Session of the 121st Legislature by December
31, 2003 what makes those industries exceptional.
SUMMARY
This resolve directs the Department of Economic and
Community Development to inventory and study the State's
enterprises, industries and business clusters to determine
what makes them exceptional.
