| | | Sec. 1. 13 MRSA §3063 is enacted to read: |

| | | §3063.__Deed reversion clauses |

| | | The duration of a reversion clause in a deed in which an | | organization under this chapter is the grantee may not exceed | | 20 years after the execution of the deed. |

| | | This bill limits the enforceability of a reversion clause in | | a deed granted to a church or religious society to a period of | | not more than 20 years after execution of the deed. |
