| | | Sec. 1. 12 MRSA §7824, sub-§10, ¶B, as amended by PL 1997, c. 227, | | §5, is further amended to read: |

| | | B. The registration number assigned to a snowmobile must | | be reflective and displayed in such form and manner as the | | commissioner may determine, except that an antique | | snowmobile is not required to display registration | | numbers. |

| | | Sec. 2. Application. The requirement under the Maine Revised | | Statutes, Title 12, section 7824, subsection 10, paragraph B | | that snowmobile registration numbers be reflective applies to | | snowmobiles registered on or after the effective date of this | | Act. |
|
| | | This bill requires that snowmobile registration numbers be | | reflective for newly registered snowmobiles and when any | | registration numbers on a previously registered snowmobile are | | replaced. |
