Sec. 1. 22 MRSA §3174-L, sub-§3 is enacted to read:

3.__Licensed marriage and family therapists; licensed professional counselors and licensed clinical professional counselors.__Licensed marriage and family therapists must be eligible to receive Medicaid reimbursement for counseling services whenever licensed professional counselors or licensed clinical professional counselors are eligible to be reimbursed for those services.__Licensed professional counselors and licensed clinical professional counselors must be eligible to receive Medicaid reimbursement for counseling services whenever licensed marriage and family therapists are eligible to be reimbursed for those services.

SUMMARY

This bill provides that licensed marriage and family therapists must be eligible to receive Medicaid reimbursement for counseling services whenever licensed professional counselors or licensed clinical professional counselors are eligible for reimbursement for those services.
