Initiative: Provides continued funding on an ongoing basis for the audio information service, the Maine Airs program, established through the Iris Network for people who are blind or visually impaired and other people in the State who are unable to access printed information due to a disability.

SUMMARY

This bill appropriates $50,000 in each year of the biennium on an ongoing basis to the Department of Labor for the continuation of the Maine Airs program through the Iris Network, formerly known as the Maine Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
