Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:

 
CONCEPT DRAFT

 
SUMMARY

 
This bill is a concept draft pursuant to Joint Rule 208.

 
The purpose of this bill is to address the issues
surrounding truancy and to provide school districts with
procedures to combat truancy. This bill proposes to create a
protocol that school districts can follow to enforce the laws
regarding school attendance.
