| | | Sec. 1. 12 MRSA §7827, sub-§28 is enacted to read: |

| | | 28.__Unlawful snowmobile sales without dealer's license.__A | | person is guilty of unlawful snowmobile sales without a dealer's | | license if that person sells more than 8 snowmobiles that are | | less than one year old in one year and that person does not have | | a valid registration and license under section 7825. |

| | | Sec. 2. 12 MRSA §7857, sub-§26 is enacted to read: |

| | | 26.__Unlawful ATV sales without dealer's license.__A person is | | guilty of unlawful ATV sales without a dealer's license if that | | person sells more than 8 ATV's that are less than one year old in | | one year and that person does not have a valid registration and | | license under section 7855. |

| | | This bill provides that selling annually more than 8 | | snowmobiles or ATV's that are less than one year old without a | | dealer's license is, by operation of the Maine Revised Statutes, | | Title 12, section 7901, a Class E crime. |
