Sec. 1. 1 MRSA §224 is enacted to read:

§224.__State tartan

1.__Maine Dirigo Tartan.__The Maine Dirigo Tartan is the official state tartan.

2.__Colors.__The colors in the Maine Dirigo Tartan represent the following:

A.__Azure for the State's skies;

B.__Royal blue for the State's lakes and seas;

C.__Dark green for the State's forests and farms; and

D.__Red for the bloodline of the State's people.

3.__Thread count.__The thread count for the Maine Dirigo Tartan is:__dark green 4 pivot, red 4, azure 52, royal blue 4, azure 4, royal blue 4, dark green 4, royal blue 8, dark green 56, red 8, dark green 16, azure 4 and royal blue 16 pivot.

SUMMARY
