(2)__Authorized employees of state or local law
enforcement agencies only as necessary:

 
(a)__To verify that a person presenting a registry
identification card to a state or local law
enforcement officer is an eligible patient or a
designated caregiver to whom the division has
issued a valid registry identification card
pursuant to this subsection; or

 
(b)__To respond to an inquiry from a state or
local law enforcement agency that seeks to obtain
or enforce a search warrant that may target an
eligible patient.

 
O.__Notwithstanding this subsection, an eligible patient is
not required to obtain a registry identification card and an
eligible patient does not lose the protections afforded
under subsection 5 if the patient does not obtain a registry
identification card.

 
P.__Any eligible patient possessing a valid registry
identification card is immune from arrest and prosecution
for the possession of marijuana pursuant to the limits and
restrictions created by subsection 5.

 
Q.__Possession of a valid registry identification card
pursuant to this subsection does not alone constitute
probable cause to search the person or property of the
cardholder or otherwise subject the personal property of the
cardholder to inspection by any government agency.

 
7.__Distribution.__The agency is responsible for administering
a distribution program to provide marijuana from the agency's
supply of confiscated marijuana to eligible patients and
designated caregivers who hold valid registry identification
cards.

 
A.__Any eligible patient or eligible patient's designated
caregiver presenting a valid__registry identification card
along with a state-issued identification card or driver's
license to any of the agency's various regional task force
offices may obtain up to one ounce of marijuana from that
office.

 
B.__The agency may verify the validity of a registry
identification card with the division but may not refuse to
provide marijuana or unreasonably delay the provision of
marijuana under this subsection pending completion of such
verification. The eligible patient or the designated
