| Sec. 19. Allocation. The following funds are allocated from Other | | Special Revenue funds to carry out the purposes of this Act. |

| | | Sec. 20. Effective date. This Act takes effect June 30, 2000. |

| | | APPROPRIATIONS/ALLOCATIONS |

| | | This bill includes an Other Special Revenue funds allocation | | of $6,000 in fiscal year 2000-01, for the Office of Licensing and | | Registration of the Department of Professional and Financial | | Regulation to administer the licensure of interpreters for the | | deaf and hard-of-hearing. Current revenue from registration fees | | is sufficient to meet this additional spending authority. |

| | | The bill replaces the annual registration fee of $100 with a | | licensing fee not to exceed $300 effective July 1, 2000. | | Dedicated revenue related to the increase in fees is expected to | | increase by $20,000 annually beginning in fiscal year 2002-03. |
