Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:

 
Sec. 1. Appropriation. The following funds are appropriated from the
General Fund to carry out the purposes of this Act.

 
1999-002000-01

 
COURTS - SUPREME, SUPERIOR, DISTRICT

 
AND ADMINISTRATIVE

 
Fees for Court-appointed Counsel

 
All Other$3,000,000$3,175,000

 
Provides for the appropriation
of funds to increase the rate
paid to court-appointed counsel
from $40 per hour to $60 per
hour.

 
SUMMARY

 
This bill appropriates from the General Fund $3,000,000 in
1990-00 and $3,175,000 in 2000-01 to increase the rate paid to
court-appointed counsel from $40 per hour to $60 per hour.
