condition or a complaint by a licensed dentist must accept the 1990
American Dental Association claim form, or "1990 ADA Form."

 
Sec. 2. 24-A MRSA §2753, as enacted by PL 1993, c. 477, Pt. D, §10
and affected by Pt. F, §1, is repealed and the following enacted
in its place:

 
§2753.__Standardized claim forms

 
1.__Claim form approved by Federal Government.__On or after
December 1, 1993, insurers providing individual medical expense
insurance on an expense-incurred basis providing payment or
reimbursement for diagnosis or treatment of a condition or a
complaint by a licensed physician or chiropractor must accept the
current standardized claim form approved by the Federal
Government.__On or after December 1, 1993, all insurers providing
individual medical expense insurance on an expense-incurred basis
providing payment or reimbursement for diagnosis or treatment of
a condition or a complaint by a licensed hospital must accept the
current standardized claim form approved by the Federal
Government.

 
2.__Dental insurance claims.__Notwithstanding the requirements
of subsection 1, all insurers providing individual health
insurance providing payment or reimbursement for diagnosis or
treatment of a condition or a complaint by a licensed dentist
must accept the 1990 American Dental Association claim form, or
"1990 ADA Form."

 
Sec. 3. 24-A MRSA §2823-B, as enacted by PL 1993, c. 477, Pt. D, §11
and affected by Pt. F, §1, is repealed and the following enacted
in its place:

 
§2823-B.__Standardized claim forms
