§20047. Records
1.Registration and records. Registration and other records of treatment facilities must remain confidential and are privileged to the patient.

2.Information for research. Notwithstanding subsection 1, the director may make available information from patients' records for purposes of research
into the causes and treatment of alcoholism and drug abuse. Information under this subsection may not be published in a way
that discloses patients' names or other identifying information.
