Correctional and Judicial Impact Statements
This bill may increase the number of civil suits filed in the court system. The additional workload associated with the minimal number of new cases filed in the court system does not require additional funding at this time.  The collection of additional filing fees will increase General Fund revenue by minor amounts.
Fiscal Detail and Notes
The Department of the Secretary of State will require Highway Fund allocations of $1,045,327 in fiscal year 2025-26 and $985,307 in fiscal year 2026-27 for 2 Motor Vehicle Compliance Officer positions, 3 Office Specialist II positions, one Motor Vehicle Detective position, one Office Specialist II position and related costs to administer and enforce compliance with a registration process and mandatory standards for original equipment manufacturer repair facilities.
