Removing
mandatory sentences for repeat offenders for driving while intoxicated could
lead the state to noncompliance of repeat intoxicated driving laws under the
federal National Highway Performance Program and the Surface Transportation
Block Grant Program. Any noncompliance
of these programs could lead to a loss of federal funds of up to
approximately $6,500,000 annually. |
