|
This bill
includes ongoing General Fund appropriations totaling $328,103 in fiscal year
2021-22 and $452,588 in fiscal year 2022-23 for the costs associated with
establishing and implementing the Career Advancement and Navigation
Initiative. Of this amount, $71,749 in
fiscal year 2021-22 and $111,617 in fiscal year 2022-23 are provided to the
Adult Education program for one Regional Education Representative position
and related All Other costs to manage the Career Advancement and Navigation
Initiative. $253,851 and $338,468 in
fiscal year 2021-22 and fiscal year 2022-23, respectively, are also provided
to the Adult Education program to provide funding to support the hiring of 4
career advancement and navigation specialists effective October 1, 2021 to
serve the adult education hubs specified in the bill. Additionally, the School Finance and
Operations program will receive $2,503 per year beginning in fiscal year
2021-22 for the ongoing technology costs. |

Additional costs
to the Departments of Labor, Professional and Financial Regulation, Economic
and Community Development, Health and Human Services and other state agencies
to collaborate with career advancement and navigation specialists to develop
a plan or set of plans to carry out the purposes of the Career Advancement
and Navigation Initiative can be absorbed within existing budgeted resources. |
