  amendment removes the requirement for a concealed weapons permit but allows
  for the issuance of an optional permit. 
  It would reduce Other Special Revenue Funds revenue to the Department
  of Public Safety by $1,099,051 in fiscal year 2014-15 as compared to the
  majority committee amendment.  This
  analysis assumes 10% of people would apply for an optional permit.  It also removes the Other Special Revenue
  Funds allocation of $230,000 in fiscal year 2014-15 for 2 Office Associate II
  positions and one State Police Detective position contained in the majority
  committee amendment. |
