Fiscal Detail and Notes
	The estimated costs for the per diem and expenses of the members of the Maine Science Advisory Board and other expenses of the advisory board are projected to be $20,750 annually beginning in fiscal year 2011-12 based on 6 meetings per year.
	The legislation also specifies that the Executive Director of the Legislative Council is the executive director of the advisory board and shall assign clerical and staff support from the legislative staff as required.  The ability of existing legislative staff to assume these responsibilities cannot be determined at this time.  A General Fund appropriation may be necessary to contract for staff services, particularly if any of the meetings are held during legislative sessions.
