| Preliminary Fiscal Impact Statement | ||||||
| Current biennium cost increase -Federal Expenditures Fund | ||||||
| Fiscal Detail and Notes | ||||||
| This legislation will not have a fiscal impact on the Unemployment Compensation Trust Fund. | ||||||
| However, the Bureau of Unemployment Compensation within the Department of Labor estimates a one-time Federal Expenditures Fund cost of between $40,000 and $60,000 in fiscal year 2010-11 to make the necessary programming changes in its existing benefit, tax and appeal system in order to implement this legislation. The Department of Labor has indicated that, because it will not be allowed to draw down additional federal funds to support the cost of this initiative, the expenses associated with the implementation of this legislation will need to be absorbed within the current federal Unemployment Compensation Administration grant and may impact existing budgeted projects. | ||||||
| The fiscal impact to the state as an employer is expected to be minimal. | ||||||
