An Act To Ensure the Availability of Alcohol-free Motor Fuels
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 10 MRSA §1453, sub-§1-A is enacted to read:
1-A. Antiknock index number. "Antiknock index number" means the number assigned to a spark ignition engine fuel that designates the fuel's ability to resist engine knock;
Sec. 2. 10 MRSA §1459 is enacted to read:
§ 1459. Nonethanol-blended gasoline
A retail dealer and a distributor shall hold, store, import, transfer and offer for sale or use nonethanol-blended unleaded premium grade gasoline with an antiknock index number of 91 or greater.
