Resolve, To Authorize a Trail To Be Built Connecting the Cascade Falls Trail with the Eastern Trail

Whereas,  the Commissioner of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife has authority over public uses of wildlife management areas in accordance with the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 12, section 12701, subsection 1; now, therefore, be it

Sec. 1. Authorization to build a trail over state-owned land. Resolved: That the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife shall enter into an agreement to allow a trail for nonmotorized recreational use by the public to be built across a section of state-owned land in Saco within the Scarborough Wildlife Management Area. The purpose of the agreement is to allow the Cascade Falls Trail in Saco to be connected with the Eastern Trail. The Eastern Trail is a portion of the Maine East Coast Greenway extending 80 miles from Kittery to South Portland.

SUMMARY

This resolve authorizes the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife to enter into an agreement to allow a trail to be built across state-owned land in Saco.
