An Act To Enhance Motorcycle Safety

Sec. 1. 23 MRSA §4210-E  is enacted to read:

§ 4210-E.  Informational signs

The department shall erect signs on each highway or other way within the State where rumble strips are located informing a driver that the driver is approaching a rumble strip. The signs must be placed on each side of the highway or other way at such distances from the rumble strip as determined by the department. The department shall establish by rule the lettering, style, colors, size and format of the sign. Rules adopted pursuant to this section are routine technical rules as defined by Title 5, chapter 375, subchapter 2-A.
