| These changes will increase General Fund revenue by an estimated $1,880,139 in fiscal year 2007-08 and $2,617,465 in fiscal year 2008-09. Maine Revenue Services will also require a one-time General Fund appropriation of $48,800 in fiscal year 2007-08 for the administrative costs associated with this bill. In addition, the Governor's proposed budget for the 2008-2009 biennium, LD 499, includes a proposal to increase the cigarette tax by $1 per package. This estimate may need to be revised based on the final legislative action on LD 499. | ||||||
