| Potential current biennium revenue decrease - General Fund | ||||||
| Fiscal Detail and Notes | ||||||
| Changing the qualifications for obtaining a concealed firearms permit is likely to decrease General Fund revenue collected from permit fees. The Department of Public Safety estimates that there are between 3,000 and 4,000 permits issued each year to individuals who would not qualify under the provisions of the bill. The amount of any revenue loss will depend on decisions made by individuals whether to work to qualify for a concealed firearms permit under the new requirements and can not be determined at this time. | ||||||
