	The Secretary of State's budget includes sufficient funds to accommodate one ballot of average length for the general election in November. If the number or size of the referendum questions increases the ballot length, an additional appropriation of $8,000 or more may be required.  A special election would require an additional appropriation of $121,392.
Fiscal Detail and Notes
	The Gambling Control Board within the Department of Public Safety will require additional General Fund appropriations of $2,475, $3,300 and $3,300 in fiscal years 2004-05, 2005-06 and 2006-07, respectively, to pay per diem to board members. The Governor's draft Part 2 Budget includes an initiative to pay per diem to board members in fiscal years 2005-06 and 2006-07.
