| Fiscal Detail and Notes | |||||||||
| The Board of Licensure in Medicine, affiliated with the Department of Professional and Financial Regulation, will require Other Special Revenue Funds allocations of $21,000 in fiscal year 2005-06 and $31,500 in fiscal year 2006-07 for the costs associated with the increase in the number of required due process hearings that would result from this legislation. This fiscal estimate assumes an additional 6 hearings in fiscal year 2005-06 and 9 hearings in fiscal year 2006-07. This fiscal estimate also assumes that existing judgments would be counted towards the total of 3 professional negligence judgments that would result in a license being revoked. While this legislation will not require an immediate increase in fees to support the costs of the additional hearings, it will result in a fee increase occurring sooner than would have otherwise occurred if this legislation were not in place. | |||||||||
| Any additional costs associated with this legislation can be absorbed by the Department of the Attorney General utilizing existing budgeted resources. | |||||||||
