| Requiring school administrative units to revert back to the prior year's budget if voters, having failed to approve a budget at a referendum vote, fail again to authorize a budget after a subsequent vote, is a mandate. | School | Significant | |||||||
| Fiscal Detail and Notes | |||||||||
| This legislation may result in less State subsidy being distributed to a school administrative unit if, as a result of the voters failure to approve a budget and that school administrative unit being required to revert to the prior year's budget, the school administrative unit is unable to raise its required local share. The impact to individual school units, including the ability of the individual units to meet their financial obligations, can not be determined at this time. | |||||||||
