| Reduction of good time would require a new 500 bed facility. This legislation will require General Fund appropriations to the Department of Corrections in the amount of $68,377,295 in fiscal year 2005-06, $748,885 in fiscal year 2006-07, $71,992,759 in fiscal year 2007-08 and $75,731,689 in fiscal year 2008-09. The appropriations will provide funds for the construction of a new 500 bed facility and the associated general operating expenses as well as additional probation officers in the field to meet the requirements of this bill. | |||||||||
