| Sec. 1. New signs. Resolved: That the Department of Transportation |
| shall consult and work with greater Augusta industries and the |
| Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce before erecting directional |
| signs. After consulting with the area groups, the department |
| shall erect signs to assist drivers to determine the best routes |
| available to business services and to Route 3 and Route 17 to |
| Belfast, Camden and Rockland. Signs for Exit 109 must describe a |
| "business route" with specific amenities, such as lodging and |
| food. Signs for Exit 113 must indicate Rockland-Camden access on |
| Route 17. Signs are also to be placed on Route 3 and Route 17 |
| from the coast to greater Augusta to indicate the best access to |
| the highway and what amenities drivers can find. |
