Sec. 1. 20-A MRSA §13451, sub-§3, ¶¶B and C, as amended by PL 2003, c. 451, Pt. OO, §1, are further amended to read:

B. Thirty-five percent from July 1, 2002 to until July 31, 2003; and

C. Forty percent after from July 31, 2003. until July 31, 2006;

Sec. 2. 20-A MRSA §13451, sub-§3, ¶¶D to F are enacted to read:

D.__Sixty percent from July 31, 2006 until July 31, 2007;

E.__Eighty percent from July 31, 2007 to July 31, 2008; and

F.__One hundred percent after July 31, 2008.

SUMMARY

This bill increases the State's contribution for health insurance for retired educators from 40% to 100%, phased in over 3 years.
