Fiscal Detail and Notes
The issuance of special registration plates to members of federally recognized tribes will result in additional Other Special Revenue Funds revenues of $40,000 collected by the Bureau of Motor Vehicles within the Department of the Secretary of State in fiscal year 2005-06.  Assuming that the full compliment of 2,000 plates are issued, $20,000 will be transferred to the Highway Fund as revenue in fiscal year 2005-06 and the remaining $20,000 will be refunded to the federally recognized tribes.  To cover the cost of manufacturing and distributing the special plates, the Bureau of Motor Vehicles will require an additional Highway Fund allocation of $20,000 in fiscal year 2005-06.
