| The bill as amended would transfer funds reserved for this purpose from the federal Jobs and Growth Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2003 to the existing Maine Rx Other Special Revenue Funds account within the Department of Human Services. These funds will be used to implement and operate the new Maine Rx Plus program. The existing Maine Rx account has sufficient allocation and Positions - Legislative Count for this purpose but lacks the funding which this transfer will provide. Future year funding should be generated from drug rebates under the program. | |||||||
