Fiscal Detail and Notes
	The additional cost to the state to contribute 40% of the cost of health insurance for public school teachers cannot be determined at this time and will depend on the number of teachers who elect to participate in the plan.  The state currently pays a percentage of health insurance for retired teachers but not for active teachers.  The savings to local school units can not be determined at this time but would be significant.
