| Establishing a fee of 25 cents per tire on the retail sale of tires is expected to increase Other Special Revenue by $158,640 in fiscal year 2003-04 and $251,384 in fiscal year 2004-05. The State Planning Office will require approximately $20,000 annually to adminster this grant program. Maine Revenue Services will require $12,000 for one-time computer programming costs. This estimate assumes these administrative costs will be funded by the Playground Safety and Tire Recycling Fund and the remaining funds will be available for grants to public educational institutions. | |||||||
