| Requiring periodic in-person meetings between a probationer and a probation officer will require General Fund appropriations to the Department of Corrections of $36,421 in fiscal year 2003-04 and $48,321 in fiscal year 2004-05 to fund the required overtime, mailings, postage and other operating expenses to carry out the purposes of this act. In addition, the Judicial Department will need additional clerk positions to handle the additional workload. The exact impact can not be determined at this time but is initially estimated at approximately $120,000 annually. | |||||||
