| This bill establishes an additional standard under the Natural Resources Protection Act and will require another layer of review by the Department of Environmental Protection. Additional staffing of approximately 8 new positions will be required to deal with the increased activity of these projects. The Department of Environmental Protection is unable to project the anticipated costs of this program for fiscal year 2003-04. The increased activity in the collection of fees by the Department of Environmental Protection will generate approximately $400,000 annually to the Maine Environmental Protection Fund. | ||||||
