	This amendment eliminates the General Fund appropriation in the bill of $315,000 in fiscal year 2003-04 and $15,000 in fiscal year 2004-05 that had been appropriated for the costs associated with the operation of the Northern Maine Transmission Corporation including the cost of certain studies.  Public Law 1999, c. 513, §6 established the Northern Maine Transmission Corporation Fund to provide funding for the activities of the corporation.  However, since there are currently no funds available in the Fund to support the costs associated with this measure, the elimination of the General Fund appropriations may result in the Finance Authority of Maine and the Northern Maine Transmission Corporation not being able to meet the requirements of this legislation.
