A person who acts as a security guard may, while he is in the performance of his duties in that capacity, carry a loaded weapon in a motor vehicle which is being used to provide armored car service or which is otherwise transporting things of value, provided that any weapon carried is not concealed.   [PL 1981, c. 113, §2 (NEW).]
