§3264. Park commissioners
1.
Park commissioners; appointment.
Notwithstanding section 3261, municipalities may elect or appoint 5 park commissioners, initially to hold office for one, 2, 3, 4 and 5 years, respectively. Their successors shall be appointed for terms of 5 years each. Members shall serve until the appointment of their successors.

2.
Duties.
The park commissioners shall:

Have the care and superintendence of the public parks; and

B.
Subject to the approval of the municipal officers, direct the expenditure of all money appropriated or available for the improvement of those parks.
