§1501. Regional school unit referendum
1.
Authority to call a regional school unit referendum.
The regional school unit board shall initiate a regional school unit referendum:
A.
To approve the issuance of bonds or notes for school construction projects;

B.
To approve a change in the selection of a school building site;

C.
To authorize the regional school unit board to contract for the schooling of secondary pupils;

D.
To accept or reject a prospective gift; and

E.
To borrow funds for minor capital costs as defined in section 15672, subsection 20‑A.
